CRANE VAN SERVICES

McCollister's operates one of the largest crane van fleets in the industry. Crane vans are designed to lift product weighing up to 8,000 pounds vertically within the van. Such capability is especially useful when a shipment is heavy, not on wheels, skidded or crated, sensitive to lateral vibration or odd-sized. Such characteristics could make handling time consuming, labor intensive and add to the landed cost of the shipment.

Our operators are trained to use the crane to lift, move, load and deliver delicate or heavy products without the need for a loading dock or other handling equipment. Vans are available in 48 and 51 foot configurations and are fully equipped for every transportation assignment.

In some cases, it is more cost-effective and time efficient to move product unpackaged utilizing customized hardware and cargo securing systems. McCollister's has worked with many customers to optimize a solution to distribute product domestically and cross-border resulting in significant time and cost savings.

Not every shipment requires the use of a crane van, but when you have the need, McCollister's has the equipment.
